Geoff Nash

A University of Exeter scientist has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology – adding to his existing fellowships of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Institute of Physics.

Professor Geoff Nash, Head of Natural Sciences, was elected a Fellow by the council of the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) on January 1.

Recognition by these prestigious professional societies not only reflects the impact of his research, but his key role in establishing Exeter’s successful Natural Sciences programmes, his ongoing leadership, and his belief in the power of science to make a difference to the world and to transform people’s lives for the better.

Professor Nash said: “I am honoured to have been recognised by the Royal Society of Biology in this way. I am a passionate advocate of the sciences generally, both within the University, and externally.

“I am also extremely keen to become more involved in the RSB community, both because of my evolving research interests, but also so that I can help promote and champion the biological sciences more widely.”
