A previous wellbeing concert at the University of Exeter

People can find peace at a special atmospheric candlelight concert in Exeter designed to promote mindfulness and wellbeing.

The event, free and open to all, will feature soothing and evocative music and poetry, and has been organised to help people chase away the winter blues.

There will be performances of music by contemporary composers by the talented University of Exeter Chapel Choir and string quartet, The Devon Collective alongside poetry read by students.

Director of Chapel Music Michael Graham said: “The concert takes place in our beautiful intimate chapel, which will be cosy and candlelit. It will allow people to chase away the winter blues, experience beautiful music and find peace and relaxation. A perfect way to end your busy working week.

“We welcome people to join us, chill out and listen to some calm, evocative and reflective music in a wonderful acoustic.

The concert will be held at the Mary Harris Memorial Chapel at the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus at 7pm on Friday, 23 February.
