Postgraduate researchers at the University of Exeter are among the most satisfied in the country, according to the the latest Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)

Postgraduate researchers at the University of Exeter are among the most satisfied in the country, according to the new report.

Exeter ranked 11th in the UK with an overall satisfaction score of 86.3% —a 3% rise from last year – in the latest Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES). All faculties and campuses showed improvement.

“It’s great to see that our postgraduate researchers are so satisfied,” said Professor Stacey Hynd, Dean of Postgraduate Research.

“This is testament not only to the expert supervision of our world-leading academics and the specialist support of our fantastic Doctoral College team, but to our postgraduate researchers themselves who collaborate with, help and inspire each other to create a positive and supportive research community.

“We are constantly working to deliver a vibrant, inclusive and supportive postgraduate research culture and experience, so it’s wonderful to see this reflected in our PRES engagement and results”.

The University’s Doctoral College supports around 2,500 postgraduate researchers.

PRES provides robust, benchmarked data from a large number of institutions across the UK and beyond about the experience of Postgraduate researchers.

It is run by Advance HE which works with higher education institutions around the world to improve higher education for students, staff and society.
