Exeter to hold major sustainable finance gathering
Attendees at the Exeter Sustainable Finance Conference 2025
Global experts from academia and industry will gather at the University of Exeter Business School next week for a major conference in sustainable finance.
The Exeter Sustainable Finance Conference, now in its third year, features an international roster of speakers from academia, industry and policy whose empirical and theoretical research on sustainable finance has the potential to inform and enhance current investment practices.
Academic speakers will give papers on topics related to emissions, climate risk, valuation and the green transition, with keynotes from Professor Renee Adams from Saïd Business School, and Professor Peter Tufano from Harvard Business School.
There will be contributions from 19 leading academic institutions as well as from five major financial institutions or government agencies from eight different countries.
The one-and-a-half-day programme, running from 18-19 June, will also feature industry panels to give ample opportunities for audience participation and dialogue, with panellists including Olly Breen (Santander UK), Theresa Lober (Bank of England and Met Office and Ben Yeoh (Royal Bank of Canada Global Asset Management).
Professor Chendi Zhang, Director of the Exeter Sustainable Finance Centre at the University of Exeter Business School, said: “The quality and diversity of this year’s programme reflects the growing importance of sustainable finance in addressing global challenges such as climate change and the transition to a low-carbon economy.
“By creating space for rigorous debate and practical dialogue we hope to bridge the gap between academic insight and real-world investment practice.”
