Exeter shortlisted for THE Business School of the Year
The University of Exeter Business School’s unswerving commitment to environmental sustainability, responsible leadership and technological transformation.has been recognised by a major national awards programme.
Exeter’s Business School has been shortlisted for Business School of the Year at this year’s Times Higher Education (THE) Awards, which celebrate excellence across the UK and Irish sectors and are known as the “Oscars of Higher Education”.
The shortlisting recognises the Business School’s outstanding achievements and commitment to environmental sustainability in changing times.
These include hosting the first ever AI for Net Zero conference, being chosen to lead a major UKRI-funded initiative on how emerging technologies can accelerate the shift to a circular economy, and the launch at the World Economic Forum in Davos of the Climate and Nature Impact Team, which aims to bring together science and communication to unlock impact on climate and nature in key industry sectors.
Commenting on the shortlisting, Professor Steve Wood, Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of the University of Exeter Business School, said: “We’re so excited to be shortlisted for THE Business School of the Year, and I congratulate everyone who made it possible, from our students to academic and professional services staff.
“In organisations and institutions across the world, commitments to environmental sustainability are increasingly under pressure, but our determination to help address the climate and nature crises through our research, education and partnerships, is as strong and steadfast as ever.”
The awards, which focus on the 2024-25 academic year, will be held at a ceremony in Birmingham on Thursday 26 November 2026.
