World-leading academics from the University of Exeter have been recognised as being amongst the most influential researchers in their field, according to a prestigious new ranking.

The University of Exeter has retained its position in the top 15 nationwide in the influential The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025, it has been announced.

The University is ranked 13th in the latest rankings, which were released today (Friday, September 20th 2024). Exeter is also placed 3rd in the South West in the rankings.

The The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2025 is made up of a number of indicators including student satisfaction with teaching quality and their wider student experience, research quality, graduate prospects and entrance qualifications held by new students. 

Earlier this month, Exeter retained its 18th position in the Guardian University Guide, and was also shortlisted for four categories in the Times Higher Education Awards 2024. 

Exeter has been shortlisted in four of the 19 categories – STEM Research Project of the Year;  Outstanding Contribution to Environmental Leadership;  Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community; and Outstanding Marketing and Communications Team.
