Experts at The University of Exeter to speak at THE Digital Universities UK 2023

Four experts across The University of Exeter are set to speak at THE Digital Universities UK event from 17th to 20th April.

Digital Universities UK will bring together higher education, industry and policy leaders working at the intersection of academic innovation and technology and will present the latest challenges and opportunities of digital-first higher education along with cutting-edge start-ups and ideas that will reshape the future.

Experts from The University of Exeter speaking at the event are:

  • Helen Cocks, Digital Business Manager

Speakers from The University of Exeter’s Digital team will be sharing how the university employed creative storytelling techniques to engage its staff, faculty and students with its new 2030 Digital Strategy.

The University of Exeter first launched its 2030 Digital Strategy last year, which sets out to solve key issues utilising user insight obtained from students and colleagues, by introducing new digital capabilities including tech, skills, and ways of working to be ‘the most accessible and connected university destination for any user’.

Speaking about the upcoming event, Ash Roots, Chief Digital Officer at The University of Exeter said: “I’m thrilled to be speaking at THE Digital Universities UK and I’m looking forward to meeting fellow industry experts to explore ways we can transform the higher education sector through a digital-first approach.

We’ve been working on communicating the value of digital tools and technologies to drive digital transformation at the University of Exeter through our new 2030 Digital Strategy, engaging multiple stakeholders along the journey, with a vision to be the most accessible and connected university destination for any user and it will be a great opportunity to share our experiences at this event.”

Dr Hakim will join a panel of experts and interactive workshops to explore the solutions to some of higher education’s most pressing challenges to formative assessment, and what formative assessment tools can be used in the online classroom.

Professor Harris will be taking a holistic approach to digital transformation, joining an expert panel to talk through a new framework to support institutions to deliver meaningful, lasting change with digital tools and technologies, including transforming the digital campus, pedagogy and assessment, student experience and research capabilities.
